MEDICAL DIRECTOR---Michael Rudolph, M.D.

Michael Rudolph, M.D. graduated from Stanford University and the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Rudolph is trained in Addiction Medicine, Family Practice, General Surgery and Emergency Medicine and has been in practice for over 25 years. He currently has an office practice in Addiction Medicine and is licensed in the prescription and use of suboxone for medical opiate detoxifications. He is currently a member of the American and California Societies of Addiction Medicine.

CLINICAL DIRECTOR--Mary A. O'Malley, MA, LDAC

Mary O'Malley, M.A., is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine and Pepperdine University. She holds a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology, is a Credentialed Teacher, a Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor, Minister and Reiki Master. Mary brings over 25 years of experience working in the field of Chemical Dependency to her position as Clinical Director at NCR. In addition to her administrative duties, Mary can consistently be found facilitating groups and lectures with our clients. Her experience, compassion and sense of humor make her a valuable member of our clinical team.

PROGRAM DIRECTOR, COUNSELOR -- Clay Niles, C.A.T.C.

Clay Niles is a State Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor and graduated of Cypress College. Clay’s experience in working in the field of addiction and interpersonal relationships has made him a favorite of clients, families, and staff. Clay’s calm mannered approach to dealing with all situations that arise in an alcohol and drug treatment program make him well suited to the position of program director. His passion for recovery and personal integrity ensures that the best interest of our clients comes first and foremost at NCR.

INTERVENTIONIST - Burr Cook, CAS, BRI/1

Burr Cook is a Board Registered Interventionist (AISCB), State Certified Addiction Specialist and has 17 years experience in nursing (LVN, R.N., CCRN). Burr is professionally trained in the Systemic, Arise, Storti and Johnson Model of Interventions. Burr is a certified Character Development Instructor by the Josephson Institute. Burr handles all interventions with integrity and a sincere desire to help people find appropriate treatment solutions to get the help they need.

PRIMARY THERAPIST -- Erika Vargas, J.D., MFT

Erika brings a wealth of experience working with addictions in the behavioral health field. Her experience in the treatment of addiction, co-occurring disorders, eating disorders, trauma, family and couples counseling is a valuable asset to the NCR program. Erika holds a Juris Doctor from University of Southern California and is an adjunct professor at Chapman University. The combination of her experience and extensive training as both a therapist and an educator have given her a special aptitude for grasping the underlying conflict, stresses, perceptions, distortions and self-worth issues involved with addiction.

CASE MANAGER, COUNSELOR -- Don Earhart, C.A.T.C.

Don is certified by the State of California as an Addiction Treatment Counselor and graduated from Saddleback College after completing his education in drug and alcohol studies. Don is an experienced clinical team member bringing his experience with specialized education in cognitive behavioral therapy and anger management. Don provides clients with personalized treatment options and has proven himself as being highly adept and instrumental in motivating others to achieve and maintain ongoing recovery from addiction.

CASE MANAGER, COUNSELOR -- Eric McCoy, C.A.T.C.

Eric is certified through CAADE as a Certified Addiction Treatment Counselor and is pursuing his degree in Psychology. Eric completed his drug and alcohol studies at Cypress College and has his Associates Degree in Human Services. Eric has been working in the field of recovery with a major focus on self-esteem, relapse prevention, and helping clients find a purpose for their lives they can feel proud of. Eric has a real passion for helping clients learn the tools to maintain long-term sobriety, set achievable goals, problem solve, and learn basic life skills that will aid them in their recovery.

CASE MANAGER, COUNSELOR -- Delores Coats, B.A., C.A.T.C.

Delores is a Certified Addiction Treatment Counselor who brings more than 15 years of experience working in the field of mental health and addiction to NCR. She assists clients with understanding the disease of addiction and process of recovery. Delores facilitates our groups on co-occurring disorders and helping clients understand how a secondary diagnosis can influence their recovery. After discharging from our facility, clients often work with Delores as part of their aftercare. As a Life Recovery Coach, she continues to help clients and their families develop new coping skills and life management tools in early recovery. Her quick wit, years of experience and thorough understanding of recovery makes her a valuable asset to our clients in treatment.

CASE MANAGER, COUNSELOR -- Rory Talmon

Prior to coming to NCR, Rory worked as a counselor at the Veterans Alcohol Rehabilitation Treatment Program. His easy going and approachable demeanor has made him a favorite with clients and their families in the groups, lectures and individual counseling he provides for them.
